CAROL SMITH REGATTA
The Carol Smith Regatta is SYC’s signature junior regatta for Optimist, Sunfish, Laser and C420 sailors ages 7-18. The regatta originated in 1976 as the Peconic Gardiners Junior & Midget Sunfish Championships and was expanded to include additional fleets in the early 2000’s. Junior sailors return to SYC year after year for competitive racing and outstanding hospitality. The regatta is part of the PGJSA Championship Series (see below). Dates TBD.
ALUMNI RACING NIGHT
Open to all SYC alumni in conjunction with our usual Monday Night Racing. Date TBD.
FAMILY REGATTA
The Family Regatta is a fun, low-key event - a chance for sailing school students and other members to have a fun afternoon on Southold Bay. Sailing school students can race the boats they rented for the sailing school season. Others with their own boats race those. Any team will do: parent/child, cousins, siblings. Depending on participation levels, fleets may include sunfish, c420, and even Optimists. Date TBD.
