JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM

SYC provides a safe, challenging and educational Junior Sailing Program which promotes seamanship, sportsmanship and a lifelong interest in sailing to young people in the community

The Junior Sailing Program is one of the best, most comprehensive junior sailing programs available on the North Fork. Ten hours a week of instruction are offered for eight weeks during July and August with excellent student/instructor ratios. Our children learn the beauty and fun of sailing, and for those interested, racing skills are nurtured to a high degree. We offer a cutting edge program with up to date equipment, ranging from “Learn to Sail” to competitive racing. Southold Yacht Club sailors have consistently placed highly in area regattas and some have scored well in national championships. Our qualified instructors have several years of sailing experience and various safety certifications. If you are looking for a fun family-oriented club, and a place for your children to learn to sail, we invite you to join the Southold Yacht Club. Please contact juniorsailing@southoldyachtclub.com for more information on the Summer 2024 Sailing Programs.
